CHSP (Commonwealth Home Care Programme)

The CHSP provides entry-level home support for frail older people who need assistance to keep living independently.
Basic amount of services provided

Home Care package

May be granted at different Levels depending on the amount of care you have been assessed & approved to receive

• Home Care Level 1 – basic care need
• Home Care Level 2 – low level care needs
• Home Care Level 3 – intermediate care needs
• Home Care Level 4 – high care needs

NDIS

National disability Insurance Scheme The NDIS will provide Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to live an ordinary life.

Most Care providers will also be able to provide care & support for you even if you are not eligible to get Government subsidised care, or have not yet been granted your package. There is no point waiting (because it can take up to 14 months to actually be granted your package), if you need the help or support make contact with some providers, to see what they will charge for the help & support that you need
